Frequently asked questions

What is Trivet?
Trivet is a meal planning app for households. Import recipes from anywhere, plan your weekly meals as a family, and generate smart grocery lists with combined quantities.
Is Trivet free?
Yes! Trivet is free to use. Sign up, create a household, and start planning meals right away.
Can I import recipes from NYT Cooking?
Yes. Trivet can import recipes from NYT Cooking, Bon Appétit, AllRecipes, and thousands of other recipe sites. Just paste a URL and Trivet extracts the recipe automatically.
How does the grocery list work?
Select the days you want to shop for and Trivet generates a combined grocery list from all the recipes on your meal plan. It intelligently merges quantities — if two recipes each call for a can of diced tomatoes, you’ll see “2 cans diced tomatoes” on your list.
